Marshalls self-levelling paving pedestals are designed to enable the creation of a floating floor system on external balconies and roof decks. The pedestals, which can be easily adjusted for height using the threaded core, incorporate a gimbal mechanism which allows a rotational tilt of up to 5 degrees (or 10%). This allows the system to compensate for falls in the sub-grade, or to create a slight fall on the paved surface for drainage.
The pedestals feature integral spacers which create a 4mm joint between the paving elements.
The pedestals have been tested and proven to withstand loads in excess of one tonne, but are not recommended for areas subject to vehicular traffic.
