RB Heavy is a heavy-duty version of the RootBridge system from Green Grid. It is designed to provide tree root protection for private roadways, parking areas and pedestrian areas that require emergency vehicle access.
RB Heavy provides a point load capacity of 50kN and a 10 tonne axle load. Different length groundscrews can be used to accommodate various soil conditions, and the installation can be overlaid with paving, asphalt or 30x30mm mesh grids.

Root bridge system
RootBridge from Green Grid is designed to prevent soil compaction and root damage to existing trees within the root protection zone. It consists of a steel framework that provides a stable sub-construction that bridges the root zone and allows heavy loads to be supported across pedestrian and vehicular areas. The steel framework houses mesh grids that ensure natural water drainage, and the finished installation can also be overlaid with asphalt or paving.
