20 Old Bailey, previously a dated 1980's office building in central London, underwent a huge modernisation and upgrade. Standing directly opposite the iconic law courts, the project was completed in just under 2 years and, given the short timeframe, demolition work took place at the same time as construction.
The existing building was bought by private equity giant Blackstone in 2013 who commissioned the extensive £59m project including extensive structural alterations and internal remodelling, renewal of the frontal elevation and two additional floors at roof level.
FSC-certified ecodek® Classic grooved ribbed reversible decking board in Slate Grey was specified for 5 storeys of long balconies that stretch around each floor and the expansive roof terrace, equating to 1100m2 of material.
The building now provides circa 240000 sq ft of high specification Cat A office accommodation.
