Babel Drum, Grand Marimba, Harmony, Capella, Duo
Percussion Play musical instruments have been installed upon the Majestic Princess - the newest member of the Princess Cruises fleet.
Inside the Hollywood Conservatory – a tranquil top-deck retreat – is a wonderful indoor garden located 150 feet above the ocean. Guests are welcomed by the sound of chirping birds, a lush garden environment and plush furniture. As they relax in this ‘garden paradise above the sea’ guests will be able to have fun making their own music as they journey. No musical experience is necessary to play on the instruments which include; the popular Harmony Xylophone, huge Grand Marimba, colourful Capella Xylophone, and soft, soothing Babel Drum.
The Majestic Princess, a US$600 million 19-deck mega-liner with room for 3,560 guests, was built at the famed Italian yard Fincantieri and launched after a glittering hand-over ceremony attended by the Italian Prime Minister earlier this year. She sailed out of Trieste to a tumultuous send-off to her new home in Shanghai.
Alan Stein, Director at Princess Cruises said: “The Percussion Play instruments were successfully assembled and installed on the ship and look amazing. THANK YOU for all of your help during these many months in making this possible. They are beautiful and fit well in the space.”
