SDS specialises in engineering innovative and cost-effective turnkey surface water management systems.
SDS’s integrated water management system ensures that surface water run-off can be collected, treated, stored and released efficiently and sustainably, from the point at which rainfall first meets the ground to the point of its ultimate dispersal.
SDS integrated water management system
An SDS integrated management system may include:
SDS Aqua-Xchange™
Water flows through this engineered pollution control and enhanced filter media. It uses ionic exchange and filtration to remove soluble and solid pollutants from surface water runoff.
SDS Aqua-Filter™
The pre-treated water percolates through specialised filter media removing dissolved pollutants, heavy metals and hydrocarbons. It then releases the cleansed water.
SDS GEOlight™ attenuation or soakaway systems
Rainwater is stored until it can be ssafely dispersed, infiltrated to surrounding ground or watercourse or dispersed directly through the main drainage system.
SDS flow control devices - Flow control enables the discharge of water at a controlled runoff rate.
Technical support
The company provides a full service solution to support clients throughout the entire lifecycle of their installed water management systems.
Services range from initial consultation, to design, manufacture and installation of systems, to ongoing maintenance.
Projects
- Stormwater treatment system – London Luton Airport expansion.
- Sustainable urban drainage system – new Volkswagen Financial Services (UK) headquarters, Milton Keynes.
- Sustainable urban drainage system – Newlands residential development, Berewood, Hampshire.
- Surface water management and sustainable drainage systems – Mill Hill East Primary School, London.
