His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent took a trip to Barford to open their refurbished King George Playing Fields where we installed our rubber mulch safety surfacing.

The community in Barford, Warwickshire have been working hard for the last two years, raising almost £500,000 to gain their new playground, MUGA, tennis courts, and all-weather court.

The Duke appeared to be delighted with the project as he reportedly said: “This is entirely a local project and I do congratulate everyone involved.”

Our part in this project included the installation of  840m² of rubber mulch at various depths in order to comply with safety standards of CFH zones. A green and brown mix was chosen as part of the design, which has not only complimented the play equipment, it has also given a natural appearance.

We hope the children continue to have lots of safe play fun in their new play area!
