Manchester Victoria Station has been transformed into a modern and efficient station as part of a £1bn+ investment for the north of England. The station now offers faster and more frequent services to connect key towns and cities.
The station underwent a £44m renovation, which included construction of four new tram platforms and three new tracks, new lighting, CCTV, customer information points, glazed entrances lifts. The original booking office was also refurbished, and a new 60m bridge installed to link the station concourse and retail space, making it fully accessible.
Trueform was appointed by Morgan Sindall to design, manufacture and install one-off 18m and one-off 14m Gullwing Platform canopies. Features of the canopies include:
- LED lighting
- Public address systems
- Perch and bench seating
- Illuminated advertising displays
