RTC Safety Surfaces have been working hard for over two decades to keep children safe in playgrounds and are now celebrating their most successful year to date.

Believed to be the UK’s only wet pour and rubber mulch safety surfacing company installing globally, RTC saw a double-digit increase on sales against 2014. Throughout the year, they secured 2713 projects with over 75% of turnover coming from repeat business.

Almost 350,000m² of safety surfacing was installed by RTC last year. This figure equates to over five million tons of rubber surfacing – over half of which was recycled from worn truck tyres. Altogether in 2015, RTC Safety Surfaces saved around 65,000 large truck tyres from harming the environment making their surfaces not only safe for child’s play, but also eco-friendly.

From establishment, the growing business has installed safety surfacing in 13 countries across Europe and Africa and since 2012, working overseas has contributed to over 30% of their total sales.

Sales Director, Mark Wesson says:
“We have worked tirelessly to become the UK’s leading safety surfacing company. We have made significant investments in both infrastructure and people, which is now paying dividends.”
