This commission was for a stone water table. Water is delivered to the top of the feature and is introduced through gaps incorporated in the stone finish.
The stone is covered in a film of water, which enhances its surface and provides a strong aural effect as the water flows down the walls of the table and into the surrounding collection channels.
The action of the water flowing over the top edges appears to pull the surface of the water tight therefore increasing the reflective qualities on the surface of the table.
