SSP is a one of the market leaders in the provision of playground surfacing and equipment. We believe we are unique in being able to offer an in-house ongoing maintenance programme to our clients and have been maintaining synthetic surfaces for over 20 years.

Sybourn Primary School , Waltham Forest, London - part of the The Lion Academy Group - had its reception and nursery playground safety surfacing installed over the Easter 2015 holiday by SSP.

The reception classes playground previously had rubber natural turf mats installed around the playground equipment. This became a muddy swamp in the winter and a dust bowl in the summer. With limited space the school wanted this area to be avaialbe for use by the children for most of the school year. The tarmac area was also considered to be a hard surface for games by the school's youngest children.

Working with SSP's project manager Andrew Lofting a dual surface of artificial grass and wet pour rubber safety surfacing was designed. This eliminated the dust and mud probelms the school had experienced.

To minimise disruption to the school's pupils, the new surface was installed over the Easter Break.
