As part of Lancashire County Council's programme of new school construction and refurbishments, this primary school at Barnoldswick had well-designed external play areas.
Langley Design was selected to provide high-specification materials at a tight budget.
For long-term performance, stainless steel was required for the cycle racks, litter containers and curved bench supports.
Purpose-made planters with integral benching provided a pleasant visual amenity as well as social areas for pupils.
