Sportsmark offers a specialist sportsground design, construction and maintenance service.

Services are available for the following sports facilities:

• Natural and artificial turf bowling greens

Sportsmark has decades of successful experience in flat bowling green construction. Sportsmark constructs new bowling greens, which may be seeded or turfed, from greenfield sites. Sportsmark can install new ditches or irrigation systems.

• Tennis courts

Tarmac courts are constructed from porous tarmac and are laid to the LTA specified flatness of /- 6mm over a 3m straight-edge. An artificial surface may also be installed.

Fencing is normally 2.75m high and made from green plastic coated galvanised chain-link.

• Rugby and football pitches

Artificial training areas, warm-up strips, and full size pitches are construced from 3G systems. These consist of 65mm pile polyethylene artificial turf which is filled with sand and rubber crumb. A special foam cushion shock-pad is normally placed underneath the turf. Some new systems also include a nylon 'thatch' filling. Rugby pitch materials are supplied with extra-strength backing to absorb the extra stress caused by scrummaging.

• Multi-use games areas (MUGAs)

These areas are increasingly popular in the urban environment. They normally consist of a small area enclosed by fencing, with facilities for basketball, 5-a-side football, and sometimes netball. Surfaces are normally tarmac, EPDM rubber, or artificial turf.
